Tyreek Hill Decision Made For Cowboys at Dolphins: WR is IN
FRISCO - The Dallas Cowboys have prepared all week as if Miami Dolphins wide receiver Tyreek Hill, who is dealing with an ankle injury, will play on this NFL Week 16 Sunday.
But there are reports now suggesting that the All-Pro receiver - a legit candidate for NFL MVP - will be testing his ankle early this afternoon at Hard Rock Stadium ... and that even if he passes that "test,'' might be limited in what he can do during the game between the two 10-4 playoff-bound teams.
UPDATE: Tyreek Hill is active for today's game.
Writes ESPN's Adam Schefter: "Dolphins are optimistic that Hill, who is listed as questionable for Sunday’s game ... will play vs. the Cowboys, per source. They are said to just want to make sure how he is feeling Sunday before making a final decision on his status.''
The wording is awkward. But the point is made. And we know that Hill - who initially sustained the injury during his team’s Week 14 loss to the Tennessee Titans and then sat the Dolphins’ win over the New York Jets last weekend - has been ramping up with a specific desire to showcase his talents against "America's Team.''
'I'm Faster Than Tyreek!' Micah Reveals Cowboys Plan
Hill, 29, has 97 receptions for 1,542 yards and 12 touchdowns. He leads the NFL in those categories, and he also leads the NFL in "being scary'' because of his unexcelled speed and elusiveness.
Tyreek vs. Cowboys: Stephon Gilmore Reveals Key to Dallas Slowing Miami
The four-time All-Pro has been a focus of Dallas' practice work, with cornerbacks Stephon Gilmore and DaRon Bland now charged with the responsibility of slowing down a star ... who might only really be slowed down by his own ankle pain.
