Von Miller Turns Himself In to Dallas-Area Police After Domestic Violence Charge: Report
ARLINGTON - Buffalo Bills star Von Miller has turned himself in to local police as he faces an arrest in a domestic violence case in Dallas, multiple police sources told TV station WFAA on Thursday morning.
Sources say Miller's longtime girlfriend - who is allegedly pregnant - has accused him of assaulting her at their home in Dallas on Wednesday morning. And on Thursday afternoon, the standout NFL star has surrendered to law enforcement, according to a report from TMZ.
Sources told WFAA that Miller's attorney had been contacted about the case and that a warrant has been issued for Miller's arrest - an arrest for a third-degree felony (specifically about assaulting a pregnant person) that can mean a prison term, if found guilty, of a minimum of two years and a maximum of 10 years.
Miller turned himself in in DeSoto, where he was jailed briefly before he posted a $5000 bond and was released.
Miller, 34, was the subject of the Bills having issued a statement on Thursday morning that reads: “This morning, we were made aware of an incident involving Von Miller. We are in the process of gathering more information and will have no further comment at this point.”
