Cowboys Ex Tony Romo Reveals Super Bowl Wish for Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce

'The Ring!' Dallas Cowboys Ex Tony Romo Reveals Super Bowl Wish for Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce of Kansas City Chiefs

LAS VEGAS - Like it or not, part of the storyline here in Las Vegas for Super Bowl LVIII is the romance between Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift. What we think to be the wise move: Do not resist it. Go with the flow. Have fun with it. ...

Like our ol' Dallas Cowboys pal Tony Romo is doing.

During a CBS Sports media session this week, Romo revealed that he's harboring a hope of sorts for the Kansas City Chiefs tight end and his pop megastar girlfriend.

"I root for them to get married," Romo said. "'Cause they're not married, guys, I was joking."

Ah, Romo's go-to joke this year during the CBS telecasts of Chiefs games, with Swift hanging out in a stadium suite cheering on her honey!

On multiple occasions during the regular season, Romo referred to Swift as Kelce's wife on the air. He recently revealed that he was doing it as a joke. ... which causes us to reveal once again (as we do below) that we don't really "get joke.)

But now, Romo is offering up a serious thought on the couple and it is clear he thinks nice thoughts about the pair.

"It shows you Taylor's impact just on human beings and society, just that anything she says resonates," Romo said. "I ... think about her gift and her ability to create and make something that so many people love, and I think it's just really unique to find or be around anybody on Earth who has the ability to have a talent at that level.

"And so Travis has the same thing as a tight end, and you know, I root for them. I like them both and I think they're both amazing people."

Meanwhile, some folks are finding themselves being offended because Kelce himself was asked this week here in Las Vegas about "the ring'' ... as in, "Who will be getting one first, Swift (in the form of an engagement piece of jewelry) or the winner of the San Francisco 49ers vs. Kansas City Super Bowl.

"I'm hoping I get this ring on Sunday, I know that," Kelce replied, allowing himself to have some fun with it, because none of the other options are at all appealing.
