Cowboys’ Dak Prescott vs. Josh Allen: NFL MVP ‘Finish Line’? FISH PODCAST
FRISCO - They both boast high profiles and gaudy numbers. They both figure as central figures in championship runs. They’ve both drawn (more than?) their share of criticism into the final weeks of this NFL regular season …
And Sunday in Buffalo might mark a “finish line” of sorts for Dallas Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott and his Bills counterpart Josh Allen.
Regardless of the 7-6 Bills’ ups and downs, the MVP-caliber talents of Allen have long been indisputable.
Dak has arrived here by a slightly different path, as he was a fourth-round pick while Allen was a first-rounder.
But now? Dak’s turnover-plagued 2022 season seems well behind him in this new “Texas Coast Offense.”
And Allen? He is the driving force behind a Bills team that has won three straight AFC East titles.
Maybe Buffalo runs the table in its final four games on the way to the postseason, and it that happens, he's certain to be in the late-season running for the MVP trophy.
And the same can be said for quarterback Prescott. The Cowboys are 10-3 and have won five straight while leading the NFL in scoring this season.
Dak is 'Just A Game Manager!' Cam Newton On Cowboys MVP
Keep that up? With all due respect to Lamar Jackson, Brock Purdy, Jalen Hurts, Tyreek Hill and Tua Tagovailoa. … and Dak figures as the guy.
But … there’s a “but” as it relates to Sunday.
Will the winner be guaranteed of hardware? Nope.
The loser, though - having taken on a primo contender in a head-to-head duel on national TV - might be guaranteed to slip out of the race.
