Colorado quarterback Shedeur Sanders missed the Buffs' season finale against Utah after suffering multiple injuries the previous week in a blowout loss to Washington State.

The exact nature of the injuries that forced Sanders to miss the 23-17 loss to the Utes this weekend was unclear, but in a behind-the-scenes video posted by Deion Sanders' media company, the extent of what the quarterback has been dealing with was finally revealed.

Around the 4:50 mark of the video, Sanders is seen discussing his health with the person behind the camera, and text on the screen subsequently indicates that he's dealing with a fracture in his back:

Colorado's season sputtered after a strong 3-0 start, ending with a 4-8 record, which was still three wins more than the previous season.

Sanders is one of the top quarterbacks in the country, and despite Deion making it clear on multiple occasions that his son will be returning to Boulder next season, his status for the 2024 NFL Draft will be another source of speculation until an official announcement is made.
