Philadelphia Eagles WR A.J. Brown Not Stressing Over Embarrassing Loss: 'This is Life'

Philadelphia Eagles receiver A.J. Brown spoke about the team's need to move forward after a blowout loss to the San Francisco 49ers.

After a blowout loss to the San Francisco 49ers at home, Philadelphia Eagles star receiver A.J. Brown made it clear that the team needs to be better going forward.

"We need to clean up mistakes and hold each other accountable," Brown said via Josh Tolentino of the Philadelphia Inquirer. "I think that's important. How do we get over it? We have no choice. We've got to put our big boy pants on. This is life."

Brown caught eight passes on 13 targets for 114 yards during Sunday's 42-19 loss to San Francisco. He was second in receiving yards in the game between both teams to 49ers receiver Deebo Samuel, who recorded four receptions for 116 yards and had three total touchdowns.

The Philadelphia Eagles lost by 23 to the San Francisco 49ers, the biggest loss in the Jalen Hurts era.

The Philadelphia Eagles lost by 23 to the San Francisco 49ers, the biggest loss in the Jalen Hurts era.

Brown is in the midst of one of the best receiving seasons in Eagles' history, tallying 81 receptions for 1,164 yards and seven touchdowns in 12 games. The current mark for most receiving yards in a season for Philadelphia is 1,496, which was set by none other than Brown himself last season.

While the loss itself was ugly and without many positives, the Eagles still hold the best record in the NFL at 10-2 and remain in control of the No. 1 seed in the NFC. If Philadelphia wants to have another shot at San Francisco at Lincoln Financial Field in the playoffs, winning out would go a long way.

Next up for the Eagles is a road game against the Dallas Cowboys on Sunday night at 8:20 p.m. for Sunday Night Football. It is the last game on Philadelphia's schedule against a team that is currently over .500.
