Master Manipulator: Eagles GM Howie Roseman 'Most Resourceful' in NFL
Whenever a team hits the heights the Philadelphia Eagles have, not once but twice, it's not a surprise for the executives and coaches in charge of the process to receive loads of praise.
But being called the top among your peers is something that simply leading the Eagles doesn't bring.
And Philadelphia general manager Howie Roseman hasn't just helped get his team to the top of the NFC, he's placed himself above his peers in today's NFL landscape.
"The Eagles deserve hearty praise for the way they've kept a championship roster relatively intact following the narrow Super Bowl loss to the Chiefs," says NFL.com. "Oh, and they have two first-round picks, including one at No. 10 overall. How does Howie Roseman do it? He might be the most resourceful GM in the league today, and he is a master at manipulating the draft, most often to the Eagles' good fortune."
Because of this ability, Roseman has the Eagles in the top tier of the NFC entering the next stage of the NFL offseason.
Labeled, 'the top dogs,' Philadelphia is joined by just the Dallas Cowboys and San Francisco 49ers as the teams every other NFC squad should be targeting if they're to sit on their level in the near future.
There are big questions surrounding both the Cowboys and 49ers, however, and they reside with the most important position on the field.
Dak Prescott has again had his ability to get Dallas to a Super Bowl come into question following last season, and the best quarterback in San Francisco can't currently throw a football.
Meanwhile, quarterback Jalen Hurts is preparing to fuel his team on another championship run after being a second-round pick by Roseman just three years ago.
Considering the position the Eagles are in compared to their NFC counterparts, the proof of Roseman's success once again becomes impossible to ignore.
