Why Is Jalen Carter Making Alleged Death Threats? Eagles Rookie in Nasty Beef with 49ers' Feliciano

Why Is Jalen Carter Making Alleged Death Threats? Philadelphia Eagles Rookie in Nasty Beef with 49ers' Jonathan Feliciano

Philadelphia Eagles defensive tackle Jalen Carter has demonstrated some brilliant football skills and over the course of his rookie season in the NFL, he's won over a lot of people who entering last year's draft questioned his maturity and his judgment.

But Carter's maturity and judgment is now back up for debate as he has foolishly involved himself in a nasty beef in which "murder threats'' are being exchanged.

Carter mindlessly is getting caught in the middle of some disturbing allegations from an opposing NFL player while making some serious accusations of his own.

Carter posted on his Instagram story Tuesday and wrote that San Francisco 49ers offensive lineman Jonathan Feliciano used Carter's involvement in a January 2023 car crash that killed a Georgia Bulldogs teammate as a form of trash talk when the two teams met during Week 13's matchup in Philadelphia.

However, Feliciano took to social media to share his side, writing that he made those comments to Carter in response to death threats the Eagles defensive tackle made toward Feliciano and his family during the game.

"Dude told me he was gonna murder me and my kids would never see me again 3x because I was laughing at him after getting a flag," Feliciano tweeted. " … I said I believe you, you got a body. Then he continued for weeks posting my fam n reachin out to my friends."

Feliciano admitted in a later tweet that he made the comments about Carter's involvement in the fatal car crash, but clarified that his stance is "if you dish it, you gotta be able to take it."

"If you dish it you gotta be able to take it. He talked about my kids, I made that reference," he tweeted.

Feliciano wrote in the tweet that he got the NFL involved in the matter, but no punishment has been publicly announced since the alleged events took place on Dec. 3. He also expressed sympathy toward Carter, but said involving his family crossed a line.

Eagles vs. 49ers Death Taunts Exchanged

"I lost a friend to an accident too so I understand why he was upset. I did feel bad thought about apologizing until he started posting my kids on his IG then I had to get NFL involved," Feliciano tweeted.

Feliciano has already admitted his guilt, but will Carter? More info will be required from both parties moving forward to understand the truth of this sudden, bizarre and disturbing situation, but this much is clear ...

Jalen Carter slipped in the first round because of character questions. And now, despite the aforementioned brilliant football skills and increased maturity, Carter - who would be wise to take the issue of death very seriously - has made it clear he's still got a lot of growing up to do.
