Eagles' Jalen Hurts No. 3 on NFL Top 100, Beats Out Burrow, Allen

Jalen Hurts led the Philadelphia Eagles to a 14-3 record and the Super Bowl last season. As a result, he's right near the top of the NFL's Top 100 Players list.
In this story:

As if his monstrous new contract extension wasn't already enough proof, Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Jalen Hurts is now officially in the top tier of NFL players on arguably one of the most notable list of rankings.

The NFL's Top 100 Players finished its reveal on Monday by showing fans who the top 10 talents are in the league as voted on by the players. The week-by-week reveals leading up to the top 10 meant fans already knew that Hurts and others would be some of the final names on the board with their exact order still a mystery.

And on his 25th birthday, Hurts landed at No. 3, beating out big names like Dallas Cowboys linebacker Micah Parsons (No. 9), Buffalo Bills quarterback Josh Allen (No. 8), Miami Dolphins receiver Tyreek Hill (No. 7), Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow (No. 6), Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce (No. 5) and San Francisco 49ers defensive end Nick Bosa (No. 4).

Only Minnesota Vikings receiver Justin Jefferson and Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes beat out Hurts, as they were ranked No. 2 and No. 1, respectively.

Being higher on the list than elite quarterbacks like Allen and Burrow is a major accomplishment for Hurts, especially since the rankings are based on player votes.

Last year, Hurts led the Eagles to a 14-3 record and the Super Bowl after finishing the regular season with 3,701 passing yard, 22 touchdowns and six interceptions while adding 165 rushing attempts for 760 yards and 13 more touchdowns.
