Philadelphia Eagles Jason Kelce Searching For First Win vs. Kansas City Chiefs Coach Andy Reid
Philadelphia Eagles center Jason Kelce is tired of waiting. He thinks that the time has come for him to defeat his former head coach Andy Reid.
"I love Andy," Kelce said via 94WIP. "There's two teams that I haven't beaten, this year, that are on the schedule and it's the Chiefs and the Seahawks. I'd love to get a win. Try not to make that the main focus, you try and just focus on the little keys to victory and doing your job and staying locked in. But yeah, Andy's had our number since he left Philadelphia."
Reid's time with the Eagles ended after the 2012 season when the team missed the postseason for the second-straight year, and found himself as the head coach of the Kansas City Chiefs at the start of the 2013 season.
Kelce was drafted by Reid in the sixth round of the 2011 NFL Draft out of Cincinnati. Despite not having a high draft pedigree, Kelce turned into one of the best centers of all time, making First Team All-Pro five times and the Pro Bowl six times.
Since his departure, Reid's Chiefs are 4-0 against Philadelphia, including beating the Eagles in the Super Bowl last season.
Now, the two sides will face off in a rematch of Super Bowl LVII on Monday night, with Philadelphia and Kelce, looking for revenge. Many members of the Eagles' roster have maintained that the goal every week is just to go 1-0, but its hard not to see there being some added motivation this week.
The game will be played on Monday Night Football at Arrowhead Stadium with kickoff at 8:15 p.m.
