The Philadelphia Eagles sent out their defensive starters on the first drive of Thursday's preseason game against the Cleveland Browns at Lincoln Financial Field.

But the Browns made quick work of an Eagles defense filled with talent, as Cleveland rookie quarterback Dorian Thompson-Robinson had impressively put together an 11-play, 75-yard drive. The Browns were set up at the Eagles' one-yard line and looked sure to score.

However, Eagles linebacker Nakobe Dean made sure to put a stop to both a Cleveland trip to the end zone and any further offensive momentum after the long drive.

On 1st and goal, Dean burst up the middle of the o-line and punched the ball out of the grip of Browns running back John Kelly Jr., as K'Von Wallace recovered for Philly.

However, the Eagles offense was unable to capitalize on the takeaway, as the Browns took down Philly running back Kenneth Gainwell in the end zone to force a safety. Cleveland took the rare 2-0 lead.

Regardless, it doesn't take away from the big play on defense. Eagles defensive coordinator Sean Desai's unit did its job, and Dean was at the center of it all.

The Eagles defense will be looking for more takeaways as Thursday's preseason game treads on.
