CBS Sports recently unveiled a new countdown of the top 100 players entering the 2023 NFL season, a list that included nine Philadelphia Eagles

The top-ranked Eagle was right tackle Lane Johnson at No. 18, with the site referring to him as the best player in the NFL at his respective position. The 33-year-old was a First-Team All-Pro for the second time in his career last season, and hasn't allowed a sack since Week 11 of the 2020 season

Quarterback Jalen Hurts was the next Eagle on the list, checking in at No. 31. Hurts finished second in NFL MVP Award voting, tossing 22 touchdowns and six interceptions while racking up 13 more touchdowns on the ground.

Future Hall of Fame center Jason Kelce was ranked 42nd, as he enters what may be his final NFL season. The 35-year-old is a five-time All-Pro, including in each of the last two seasons.

As receiver A.J. Brown enters his second season with the Eagles, he came in at No. 47. The receivers ranked ahead of Brown were Justin Jefferson of the Minnesota Vikings (No. 7), Tyreek Hill of the Miami Dolphins (No. 12), Ja'Marr Chase of the Cincinnati Bengals (No. 16), Davante Adams of the Las Vegas Raiders (No. 17), Stefon Diggs of the Buffalo Bills (No. 20) and Cooper Kupp of the Los Angeles Rams (No. 26).

In addition to that quartet, left tackle Jordan Mailata (No. 60), pass rusher Haason Reddick (No. 64), receiver DeVonta Smith (No. 69), left guard Landon Dickerson (No. 77) and cornerback Darius Slay (No. 96) were also ranked by Prisco. Fellow cornerback James Bradberry didn't crack the list, but was listed as an honorable mention by CBS.

Keep in mind, this list made no mention of tight end Dallas Goedert, defensive tackle Fletcher Cox, or defensive ends Brandon Graham and Josh Sweat. When you add those four into the equation and consider the possibility that young defensive tackles Jordan Davis and Jalen Carter -- along with fellow former Georgia stars Nakobe Dean and Nolan Smith -- make impacts in defensive coordinator Sean Desai's system, the Eagles once again appear to have the deepest roster in the NFL.
