Philadelphia Eagles Beat Miami Dolphins 31-17: Live Game Log
The Eagles host the Dolphins at Lincoln Financial Field on Sunday night in a reunion of sorts for Philadelphia quarterback Jalen Hurts and Miami signal caller Tua Tagovailoa. The two will face each other for the first time in the NFL after being teammates and classmates at Alabama under coach Nick Saban.
Both have found their own success in the league. Hurts led the Eagles to the Super Bowl a season ago, while Tagovailoa is thriving in Miami under coach Mike McDaniel again this year after setting career highs in passing touchdowns, passing yards and passer rating in 2022.

Hurts and Tagovailoa aren't the only ones involved in the reunion, as Eagles wideout DeVonta Smith played alongside both at Alabama. Tagovailoa leads the league in passing yards (1,876) and touchdown passes (14) this season, while Hurts has struggled a bit with seven touchdowns and seven interceptions.
Both teams come in at 5-1 and have hopes for a Super Bowl appearance.
“I know it’ll be a good game and I don’t think of it as a Super Bowl preview or anything like that,” Tagovailoa said. “I just think that this is another team that we’re preparing for and in order for us to get to where we want to go to, we’ve got to play this game.
“I got a lot of respect for Jalen. He’s been a great competitor since I got there to Alabama. He’s been a special player since I’ve been there, and he’s been a special player throughout his entire college career.”
