Philadelphia Eagles WATCH: Jalen Carter Rumbles for Scoop N' Score TD vs. Dallas Cowboys

Philadelphia Eagles rookie Jalen Carter has his first-career NFL touchdown.

The Philadelphia Eagles seemed bound for a second straight blowout loss Sunday night at AT&T Stadium against the Dallas Cowboys. Trailing 24-6 in the third quarter, the Eagles defense faced a 3rd and 10 and needed a stop to force a three-and-out.

They got all that and then some.

Eagles defensive tackle Fletcher Cox got to Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott to force a fumble, and first-round rookie Jalen Carter was there to scoop it up and run freely to the end zone from 42 yards out for his first NFL touchdown. This cut the lead to 24-13 and gave Philly its first touchdown of the night.

Cowboys offensive guard Zack Martin gave Carter tons of praise following the first meeting of the season in Week 9.

"How the (bleep) did they get you?" Martin said. "Hey, keep going man, you're gonna be special. You're already special. Great job, stay healthy."

Martin, an eight-time Pro Bowler, also amazed the rookie defensive tackle, who couldn't believe he ended up in Philadelphia with the opportunity to play against him.

Eagles Have No Answers for Cowboys, Trail Big at Halftime

"Hey it's crazy man," Carter said. "It's an honor to go against you."

The Eagles drafted Carter with the No. 9 overall pick in April's draft out of the Georgia, where he was a back-to-back national champion.

Headed into Sunday night, Carter had posted 26 total tackles, four sacks, two forced fumbles, and one blocked kick.

The Eagles will look to keep momentum going after Carter's big score as they aim for a second-half comeback against Dallas.
