Falcons' Bijan Robinson: 'Most Sudden' RB in NFL?
Since the offseason, fans of the Atlanta Falcons and the NFL in general have had their eyes on rookie running back Bijan Robinson.
The No. 8 overall pick in April's draft out of Texas, Robinson was hailed as the best running back prospect in years. Between his staggering production in college and impressive intangibles, Robinson impressed the Falcons enough for them to make him the highest-drafted running back since Saquon Barkley five years earlier.
Throughout his first season in the Peach State, Robinson has flashed what makes him so special. One of his defining traits is his agility, and that has been on full display as ESPN listed Robinson as the "most sudden" rusher in the NFL.
"An all-purpose playmaker, Robinson has the stop/start ability to slice through pursuit angles," ESPN writes. "He has 24 rushes of 10 or more yards in his rookie season, the fifth-most in the league."
The former Longhorns star has hit some speed bumps in his first season, namely in some fumbling issues and occasional misuse in the offense. However, his rookie season has still been largely successful.
In 13 starts, Robinson has rushed for 801 yards and four touchdowns while averaging 4.6 yards per attempt. He's also been a threat through the air, catching 41 passes for 323 yards and three touchdowns. A season with over 1,000 yards from scrimmage is impressive for any rookie, and Robinson is someone opposing defenses always need to keep track of.

Coming down the home stretch, Atlanta will need Robinson at the top of his game. The Falcons playoff odds have diminished greatly with two straight losses against divisional opponents, and if they want to overcome those odds, they'll need their best weapon on offense to produce, especially as Taylor Heinicke returns to the starting quarterback role.
No matter how this season ends, though, it's clear that Robinson will be a fixture in Atlanta for a long time.
