Falcons' Chris Lindstrom Makes NFL Top 100 Debut

Atlanta Falcons offensive lineman Chris Lindstrom is on the NFL Top 100 Players List for the first time in his career.
In this story:

The Atlanta Falcons gave Chris Lindstrom a thank-you gift this offseason with his $105 million extension. Now, his NFL peers are paying him some respect on top of that money.

Lindstrom made his first NFL Top 100 list, clocking in at No. 87 in the league.

"Lindstrom, Pro Football Focus’ highest-graded guard in 2022, started in all 17 games for the Falcons to earn his first Pro Bowl and second-team All-Pro honors," NFL.com writes. "Atlanta secured its future by signing Lindstrom to a five-year, $105 million extension, the most total money ever for an offensive guard."

The NFL Top 100 is a list created by the players, for the players. It gives players around the league an opportunity to rank their peers and offer praise wherever they think it belongs.

Lindstrom was the second offensive lineman to appear on the list. Tampa Bay Buccaneers tackle Tristan Wirfs landed at No. 97 before Lindstrom's entry. After Lindstrom, Houston Texans tackle Laremy Tunsil (No. 85) and Miami Dolphins tackle Terron Armstead (No. 83) were revealed on the list.

With Atlanta head coach Arthur Smith expected to continue his zone-blocking scheme with the addition of first-round pick Bijan Robinson, Lindstrom should continue to thrive in his position this season.

And if he continues adding to his early résumé, it should only be a matter of time before Lindstrom continues to climb up the list.
