Falcons QB Desmond Ridder's 'Awesome' Traits? Chris Lindstrom Reveals

Recently-extended offensive lineman Chris Lindstrom believes in Atlanta Falcons quarterback Desmond Ridder.

The Atlanta Falcons may not have made the playoffs this past season, but the team is doubling down on some players in hope they can get the franchise back to the postseason.

Among those players is second-year quarterback Desmond Ridder, who remains atop the depth chart despite rumors that the team would trade for Lamar Jackson or draft a signal-caller early in the draft.

Also apart of the equation are offensive linemen Chris Lindstrom and Kaleb McGary, who protect Ridder's right side in the trenches.

The linemen believe in Ridder and the feeling is mutual for the former Cincinnati Bearcat towards his right guard and tackle.

“His communication, leadership and command in the huddle is awesome,” Lindstrom said.

Those are tough traits to get right so quickly, but Ridder has the intangible tools to be a long-term starter in the NFL, and it certainly doesn't hurt to have a strong offensive line in front of him.

"Those are two great guys," Ridder said. "They work their butts off every day. It obviously showed on the field. All those guys upfront do a heck of a job. They just come in every single day with no complaints. They put in the work, put in the time and obviously they got paid for that."

Both Lindstrom and McGary signed new contracts that will keep them happy and paid handsomely in Atlanta for years to come. And if all goes well at quarterback, they will be protecting Ridder for 2023 and beyond.
