Falcons' Desmond Ridder 'Hungry' vs. Jaguars
For the Atlanta Falcons' Week 4 game against the Jacksonville Jaguars, they will be headed across the pond for a game that will be taking place in London at the infamous yet iconic Wembley Stadium. The stadium holds up to 86,000 people and typically is home to some of the world's biggest soccer matches.
The two teams have something in common which is the fact that they are both coming off of losses that served as a punch to the mouth. The Falcons lost 20-6 to the Detroit Lions, making them 2-1 on the year while the Jags were upset by the Houston Texans by a score of 37-17 dropping their record to 1-2.
When speaking to the media about the matchup, Falcons quarterback Desmond Ridder broke down what he expects from both his squad and the Jags.
"It's going to be two hungry teams going against each other," said Ridder.
For Ridder, he is looking to prove that can in fact be the answer at quarterback for the Falcons, while Jacksonville's Trevor Lawrence is looking to assert himself as one of the best signal callers in football.
Through three games this season, Ridder has completed 62.5 percent of his passes for 553 yards on 6.3 yards per pass, while throwing two touchdowns and one interception. The second-year quarterback out of Cincinnati has also been sacked 12 times.
The Falcons and Jaguars are set to kickoff Sunday at 9:30 a.m. ET on ESPN+ and Disney+ with a special 'Toy Story'-themed broadcast.
