Falcons vs. Dolphins Preseason Opener: How to Watch, TV Channels, Betting Odds

The Atlanta Falcons and Miami Dolphins begin their preseason schedule. Here's everything you need to know.
In this story:

The Atlanta Falcons (0-0) are kicking off their preseason slate with a game against the Miami Dolphins (0-0) tonight at Hard Rock Stadium in south Florida.

The Falcons and Dolphins held joint practices together on Tuesday and Wednesday, leading up to their preseason openers.

The Dolphins are expected to play incumbent starting quarterback Tua Tagovailoa for a little bit and it will give Miami a chance to gain some rhythm on offense going into the season.

For the Falcons, second-year quarterback Desmond Ridder is expected to draw the start. Ridder started four games for the Falcons at the end of the 2022 season, throwing for 708 yards and two touchdowns across his appearances. Now, he looks to seize the starting quarterback job over backup Taylor Heinicke, who signed a two-year contract with the team this offseason.
