Falcons RB Bijan Robinson Named Rookie of the Year Finalist
Atlanta Falcons rookie running back Bijan Robinson's record-breaking season has given him a chance at bringing home a trophy.
On Tuesday, Robinson was tabbed as one of six finalists for NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year.
The other five selections are Houston Texans quarterback C.J. Stroud, Los Angeles Rams receiver Puka Nacua, Miami Dolphins running back De'Von Achane and Detroit Lions tight end Sam LaPorta and running back Jahmyr Gibbs.
Robinson finished the season ranked No. 15 in the league in rushing, generating 976 yards on the ground, while leading all rookies. He added four rushing scores and averaged 4.6 yards per carry.
The 21-year-old Robinson was similarly impactful through the air, catching 58 passes for 487 yards and four additional touchdowns. He led the Falcons in receiving scores, was second in receptions, third in targets (86) and fourth in receiving yards.
With 1,463 yards from scrimmage, Robinson broke William Andrews' franchise record for scrimmage yards by a rookie. Robinson's total ranked second amongst rookies league-wide, trailing only Nacua's 1,575 yards.
