Falcons Rookie Bijan Robinson 'Most Dangerous Addition' This Offseason?

Bijan Robinson is coming to the Atlanta Falcons as one of the most explosive running backs in the league as a rookie.

The Atlanta Falcons surprised many by not selecting a need with their first pick in this year's NFL Draft, but instead taking a luxury option in running back Bijan Robinson.

The Falcons may not have needed a running back, but adding Robinson makes Atlanta's offense dangerous. In fact, Bleacher Report identified each team's "most dangerous addition" for the offseason, and Robinson was argued as the most dangerous in the entire league.

"The Atlanta Falcons used the eighth overall pick in the draft on Texas running back Bijan Robinson, and the former Longhorn might be the most dangerous all-around player any team added this offseason," Bleacher Report writes.

Robinson, 21, is coming off a stellar junior season for the Texas Longhorns, earning unanimous All-American honors after running for 1,580 yards and 18 touchdowns while averaging over six yards per carry. He was also a threat in the passing game, hauling in 19 passes for 314 yards and two scores.

While Robinson is expected to lead the Falcons' backfield, head coach Arthur Smith believes he drafted more than just a running back.

"Bijan's more than a running back," Smith said. "He's an impact football player, he's a home-run hitter. ... He's a valuable football player."

With Robinson in the fold, the Falcons hope to double-down on the rushing attack, which is aimed to open up all aspects of their game and make Atlanta a dangerous team on the offensive side of the ball.
