Falcons' Bijan Robinson: The Next Saquon?

What should Atlanta Falcons fans expect from rookie running back Bijan Robinson as a receiver?
In this story:

Atlanta Falcons running back Bijan Robinson could be the NFL’s next great rusher based on the buzz surrounding his name heading into training camp.

The talented player has been described as an offensive weapon by Falcons head coach Arthur Smith throughout the offseason, a distinction from being called a running back that people are starting to take notice of.

"Falcons fans will be salivating at the prospects of seeing Bijan Robinson line up and get the ball all over the field,” Clutch Points said. “With the success of running backs like Christian McCaffrey, Austin Ekeler and Saquon Barkley in recent years, it makes sense that the Falcons see Robinson as a guy who can do much more than just carry the ball out of the backfield.”

Being compared to Ekeler or Barkley is a high bar for any running back. Last season both players had over 1,600 yards from scrimmage as three downs workhorses, a role that the Falcons to play in their offense after drafting him higher than any running back since Barkley in 2018.

In 2022, Atlanta found success running the ball with Tyler Allgeier, but his lack of receiving prowess made it somewhat apparent that the team intended to pass the ball when he’d come off the field.

If Robinson proves himself capable of having over 700 yards receiving in addition to having a thousand yards rushing. In that case, he’ll be extremely popular amongst Falcons fans and a beloved selection in fantasy football.

Whether or not he produces right out of the gate will depend on how quickly he acclimates to the NFL. Considering that Atlanta had a terrific offensive line last season, the only thing standing in the way of superstardom for him is a strong training camp.
