NFL ROY Betting Odds: Falcons' Bijan Robinson Favorite?

Atlanta Falcons rookie running back Bijan Robinson is being predicted by many to have a big season.

Atlanta Falcons running back Bijan Robinson is expected to become an immediate impact player as a rookie. In a Falcons' offense that is expected to lean heavily on their run game, Robinson is already being considered a frontrunner to win the NFL's Offensive Rookie of the Year award this coming season.

DraftKings' have named Robinson the betting favorite to win the award, setting his odds at +275. The next closest player behind Robinson is Bryce Young of the Carolina Panthers, who has +500 odds, with Anthony Richardson of the Indianapolis Colts (+600), and the Houston Texans' C.J. Stroud (+850) rounding out the top-four.

In addition to DraftKings being high on Robinson's chances, Bleacher Report wrote in a recent article about how the Falcons' quarterback situation could make it a little easier for the former Texas Longhorn to win the award.

"Having a young quarterback like Desmond Ridder could actually help Robinson's production, too," Bleacher Report writes. "He should be a safe, efficient weapon in checkdown and pressured situations. Robinson realistically could finish in the top five in total yards this year. It would be tough for anyone to top him for OROY honors if he does."

Despite taking Robinson with the No. 8 overall pick in the draft, the Falcons still have Tyler Allgeier, who is entering his second season after emerging into a featured role as a rookie. The way things stand, Robinson looks set to handle the duties of a traditional top running back but will have Allgeier to partner with.

While it is hard to imagine Robinson not rushing for 1,000 yards this season, giving the Falcons their second rookie back to do so in consecutive years, his ability as a pass-catcher might also factor into the offense. While at Texas, Robinson displayed the ability to move out of the backfield and into the slot and make the plays that traditional running backs make in the passing game.

Training camp, which is less than a week away, will be the fans' first opportunity to get a glimpse at the role that the Falcons see Robinson playing in this season.
