The Atlanta Falcons are making a few roster changes.

According to NFL insider Aaron Wilson, the team is signing center Michal Menet to a deal, in addition to defensive tackles Matthew Gotel and Caeveon Patton and receiver Mathew Sexton.

Menet, who turns 26 this week, was a seventh-round draft pick by the Arizona Cardinals in 2021, but failed to make the 53-man roster out of training camp. He stuck around the practice squad for a little bit, but was ultimately released in October of that year.

Menet then found a new home with the Green Bay Packers towards the end of the 2021 season. He spent the entire 2022 campaign with the Packers, but never made it to the active roster.

Earlier this year, Menet played for the XFL's Seattle Sea Dragons and earned an invitation to Falcons minicamp in May. Now, the Falcons have called him back and offered him a spot on the training camp roster.

Signing Menet comes after the Falcons cut three players earlier on Thursday ... defensive end Ikenna Enechukwu, wide receiver Chris Blair and quarterback Feleipe Franks.

It also comes after backup center Matt Hennessy suffered an injury earlier in the week. Hennessy was getting some first-team reps at left guard after last year's starter Elijah Wilkinson signed with the Arizona Cardinals, but he hasn't practiced in the past few days.

Perhaps signing Menet means that Hennessy will be sidelined for a little bit longer.
