LOOK: Atlanta Falcons Reveal Week 9 Uniforms vs. Minnesota Vikings
The Atlanta Falcons announced on social media that they plan to go with a blackout for their Week 9 matchup with the Minnesota Vikings, wearing black jerseys, black pants and black helmets.
Below is a look at what uniform combinations the Falcons have worn for each game so far in 2023.
Week 1 vs. Carolina Panthers (24-10 win): Black tops, blank pants, black helmets
Week 2 vs. Green Bay Packers (25-24 win): Throwback black tops, white pants, throwback red helmets
Week 3 at Detroit Lions (20-6 loss): White tops, black pants, black helmets
Week 4 at Jacksonville Jaguars (23-7 loss): White tops, white pants, black helmets
Week 5 at Houston Texans (21-19 win): Black tops, black pants, black helmets
Week 6 vs. Washington Commanders (24-16 loss): Throwback black tops, white pants, throwback red helmets
Week 7 vs. Tampa Bay Buccaneers (16-13 win): Black tops, white pants, black helmets
Week 8 vs. Tennessee Titans (28-23 loss): Black tops, white pants, black helmets
The Vikings haven't yet announced what uniforms they will wear, but it's fair to assume they'll go with white uniform tops to counter the all-black look of the Falcons.
Both teams will be breaking in new quarterbacks in Week 9, as coach Arthur Smith and the Falcons have benched Desmond Ridder in favor of Taylor Heinicke. Meanwhile, Kirk Cousins suffered a season-ending torn achilles in Week 8, so the Vikings will turn to rookie Jaren Hall, who was a fifth-round pick out of BYU in this year's NFL Draft. The Falcons are currently four-point home favorites.
