After a long offseason, the New York Giants are finally set to play a real football game for the first time in over 200 days. And this is a big one, as the Giants play host to the division rival Dallas Cowboys on Sunday Night Football.

The Giants added many new faces in free agency and the draft. Notable ones include tight end Darren Waller, linebacker Bobby Okereke, wide receivers Parris Campbell and Jalin Hyatt, and rookie cornerbacks Deonte Banks and Tre Hawkins.

They certainly bolstered their defensive line depth, signing Rakeem Nunez-Roches and A’Shawn Robinson, and traded for Carlos “Boogie” Basham. Linebacker Isaiah Simmons was also acquired in a trade just a few weeks ago, promising to be a perfect chess piece in Wink Martindale’s system.

The Giants set themselves up well following their trip to the playoffs last season. They added depth in key areas and added explosive playmakers on offense. Year 2 in the same system for most of the players on the roster is also a bonus, as head coach Brian Daboll and his staff aim to take this team to the next level.

The Cowboys also added some new faces this offseason, including wide receiver Brandin Cooks and Stephon Gilmore. They have a strong roster that boasts a lethal front seven on defense, led by Micah Parsons. Dak Prescott is coming from a 2022 season that saw him throw 15 interceptions.

This is the first time in a while that the Giants match up well against the Cowboys. Can the Giants finally beat the Cowboys and snap their four-game losing streak to them? It’s building up to be a fun one on Sunday night.
