Thursday Night Football - New York Giants at San Francisco 49ers: How to Watch, Odds, and More
A thrilling Week 2 win is in the books for the New York Giants, who came back down 20-0 at halftime to beat the Arizona Cardinals 31-28 in the franchise’s biggest comeback win during the Super Bowl era. Quarterback Daniel Jones and the Giants offense flipped a switch in the second half, with Jones throwing for over 300 yards and two touchdowns while adding another score with his legs.
It was a performance to remember. However, the Giants need to turn their attention quickly as they face the San Francisco 49ers. This matchup is going to be an uphill battle for the injury-riddled Giants, who will be without four starters (running back Saquon Barkley, left tackle Andrew Thomas, left guard Ben Bredeson, and outside linebacker Azeez Ojulari). The 49ers have one of the most complete rosters in the league, with many weapons on offense and a menacing front seven on defense.
The Giants offensive line was dominated in their Week 1 blowout loss to the Dallas Cowboys. This week's competition doesn’t get any easier, as the Niners defense, led by star pass rusher Nick Bosa, will look to take advantage. It’s going to be a tough game from the Giants perspective, and they’re going to need all hands on deck if they want to pull off an upset in primetime.
As always, be sure to check in with Giants Country during and after the game for complete coverage.
