New York Giants vs. Buffalo Bills: How to Watch, Odds, History and More
The New York Giants are falling apart week by week. The fire and passion this team played with last season has barely shown at all this year. They’ve been practically blown out almost every week except for their lone win in Week 2. There’s no competitive spirit, it seems, from a Giants team that won a playoff game just nine months ago.
Things don’t get easier moving forward, as the Giants have the hardest remaining strength of schedule in the NFL. The long road continues this Sunday night in Buffalo. This is another game against one of the league’s elite teams, and the Giants don’t match up well. They’ll be without quarterback Daniel Jones, left tackle Andrew Thomas, center John Michael Schmitz, and outside linebacker Azeez Ojulari (placed on IR) on primetime.
The Bills offense averages 31.8 points with 390.4 total yards per game, third and fourth best in the league, respectively. Buffalo’s defense is only allowing 16 points with 325.2 yards per game, sixth and twelfth, respectively.
New York Giants - Buffalo Bills Matchups to Watch
To make a long story short, the Bills are a good team. The Giants? Not so much.
While New York's defense has been playing somewhat better in recent weeks, they’re still allowing over 30 points per game. The Giants offense is practically unwatchable, putting up a measly 12.4 points per game, which is surprisingly not the worst in the league. The Patriots are averaging 11 points per game, 32nd in the league.
This matchup is not looking good for the Giants. The big headlines this week are many on the roster and staff are returning to their former workplace. Tyrod Taylor, Isaiah Hodgins, and Matt Breida are a few players who will reminisce about their times in Buffalo. Of course, head coach Brian Daboll and general manager Joe Schoen will certainly make their rounds by the Bills sideline before game time.
