Jets Fans Have Reason to Cap Week 7 by Watching Monday Night Football
The game features two NFC teams, but ESPN's Monday Night Football should piqué the interest of New York Jets' fans on October 23.
With his Achilles on the mend, Jets' quarterback Aaron Rodgers is scheduled to make an appearance on the "Manningcast" feed that will be carried live by ESPN2 beginning at 8:00 pm ET. Omaha Productions revealed the Green & White portion of the guest lineup through a social media post.
For the third year in a row, retired NFL field generals Peyton and Eli Manning are offering analysis and commentary during for select MNF games. The October 23 show, which features the Minnesota Vikings vs. the San Francisco 49ers, marks the 2023 season's fourth installment of Monday Night Football with Peyton and Eli.
The "Manningcast" will go live for a total of 10 games this fall, including Gang Green's Week 9 home contest against the Los Angeles Chargers.
Rodgers, who had surgery to repair an Achilles rupture on September 13, has attended the Jets' past two home games while currently engaged in the rehab process. The 39-year-old quarterback remained on the sideline for the entire duration of the team's win over Philadelphia on October 15.
When he joins the Manning brothers on air, Rodgers will share the microphone with two fellow Super Bowl MVPs. When it comes to league MVPs, five-time honoree Peyton Manning holds a slight edge over Rodgers, a four-time winner.
Rodgers also makes a weekly Tuesday appearance on The Pat McAfee Show. The future Hall-of-Famer has left the door open for a potential unprecedented comeback later this season.
Meanwhile, the Jets (3-3) are coming off a bye and prepping for a Week 8 battle against the New York Giants (2-5) at MetLife Stadium on October 29.
