It's billed as the busiest day of the retail calendar and the National Football League is diving into the fray.

Teaming up with online retail giant Amazon, the NFL presents its first-ever Black Friday Game when the New York Jets host the Miami Dolphins on November 24 at 3:00 pm ET in East Rutherford.

"It’s better than a Thursday game from a timing standpoint and with regards to preparation for your team, at least from my opinion with all the research we’ve done," said Jets' head coach Robert Saleh about preparing his team to play a divisional matchup on a short week.

Prime Video has exclusive rights to carry the national broadcast, assigning the Thursday Night Football team of announcers to the Black Friday matinee at MetLife Stadium. Al Michaels (play-by-play), Kirk Herbstreit (analyst) and Kaylee Hartung (sideline) will have the call.

Local fans in the New York media market won't need to be Amazon Prime subscribers in order to access the game. Fox affiliate WNYW will air the live broadcast. Sky Sports UK is set to carry the standalone game internationally.

"I think it’s great for the fans to have another standalone game on another day, great for the League on another day and week," said Saleh.

The Jets are hoping to stop a three-game slide but will have to take down the AFC East division leader to do so. The Dolphins own the NFL's top-ranked offense in yards per game (434.0) and yards per play (6.99).

"It’s a tremendous challenge. There’s nothing I can say to you that you don’t already know. They’re fast, they’re coached really well, they play hard, they have a style that shines every time they touch the grass," said Jets' defensive coordinator Jeff Ulbrich.

Gang Green tries to spark its floundering offense by replacing starting quarterback Zach Wilson with Tim Boyle. Set to make his fourth career start, Boyle will lead an attack that has mustered up only two total touchdowns over its past four outings.

"One person is not going to change everything," said Saleh. "It’s collective, it’s coaching, it’s the other 10 players on the football field. We all have to take part and try to find ways to get the offense to move. I am excited for his opportunity, for him [Boyle]."
