The New York Jets are an underdog for the sixth week in a row.

According to the opening betting line, the undefeated Philadelphia Eagles should take care of business when they travel up the New Jersey Turnpike for a Week 6 non-conference matchup against the Jets.

The Eagles kicked off the week as a 6.5-point favorite over Gang Green on the official SI Sportsbook listing. Philadelphia moved to 5-0 overall by defeating the Los Angeles Rams, 24-13, on the road in Week 5. The defending NFC champions are one of two undefeated teams remaining in the NFL this season. The Eagles have won two of five games by greater than six points thus far.

As a 2.5-point road underdog, the Jets posted a 31-21 win over the Denver Broncos on Sunday. It was their second outright victory of the season. Gang Green is 3-2 against the spread with outright wins over the Broncos and Buffalo Bills plus a cover against the Kansas City Chiefs.

The Jets accounted for season highs in net total offense (407 yards) and points (31) against the league's bottom-ranked defense in Week 5, but they'll face a much stiffer test against Philadelphia. Last time out, the Eagles limited the Rams to 249 yards of offense and shut out their opponent for the entire second half.

The October 15 matchup will be the first meeting between the turnpike rivals since December 5, 2021 when the Eagles posted a 33-18 win over Gang Green.

For those looking to wager on the money line, the Eagles opened as a -275 favorite with the Jets paying +220. The point total (over/under) is set at 41.5.
