The same old Jets brought out the same old Mike Francesa.

The longtime radio host has never been hesitant to unleash criticism upon the New York Jets and Francesa did just that during his instant reaction podcast following Sunday's 15-10 loss to the New England Patriots

En-route to their 15th consecutive defeat in the head-to-head series, the Green & White struggled offensively to the tune of 2.8 yards per play. Quarterback Zach Wilson went 18-of-36 passing for 157 yards and drew the bulk of Francesa's ire during a colorful monologue.

"You cannot play this quarterback. If you continue to play this quarterback, the season will be over before Week 9," ranted Francesa, who called for the Jets to find a replacement. "Zach Wilson can't win right now. I don't know if he's ever gonna be able to win. He is a terrible quarterback. I can think of a lot of bad quarterbacks who I would take in a second over him."

The strongly-opinionated sports media personality pointed back to the Jets' final offensive possession as evidence of Wilson's ineptitude.

"It was embarrassing," said Francesa while pontificating during the latest episode of his Bet Rivers-powered podcast. "The Jets got the ball back on their 45-yard line, down five with two timeouts. That is exactly what you pray for in a game where you have done nothing and just look at those four downs."

Taking over possession with 1:43 to go in the fourth quarter, Gang Green gained only two yards on four snaps. Wilson threw three consecutive incompletions before hitting tight end Tyler Conklin well short of the sticks on fourth down.

Francesa's postgame commentary also contained fierce criticism of Jets' offensive coordinator Nathaniel Hackett.

"Hackett is awful. The only reason he was tolerable is because he was gonna carry Aaron Rodgers's luggage. No Aaron Rodgers? You don't want Hackett anywhere near the building," screamed Francesa.

Third-year head coach Robert Saleh's postgame comments also provided fodder for Francesa.

"We have seen this film before. We have seen this act before and it has gotten tired and old," said Francesa, who spent 30 years as a radio host on New York's WFAN. "And Saleh comes out and tells you Zach will keep working. We have to be better from coaches to players."

The football-crazed Francesa suggested the emergence of internal strife should the Jets fail to make a change at QB.

"He's gonna lose the locker room because the players are already getting ticked off," said Francesa. "It's early he [Saleh] said. Watch how fast it gets late with the Chiefs next."
