Goodbye, Zach Wilson. Hello, Day 3 pick?

The good news for the New York Jets - according to a new report by uSTADIUM - is that there are multiple suitors interested in the former No. 2 overall draft pick. The bad news: The expected return for the quarterback bust might be "a Day 3 pick or a swap of mid-round draft picks."

Given his regression over three seasons and the fact that the Jets expect veteran four-time MVP Aaron Rodgers to make a full recovery from last year's torn Achilles, it's surprising that there is any market for Wilson at all. Following two abysmal seasons as the Jets' starter, he was expected to serve as Rodgers' backup in 2023. Almost redshirt season.

Instead, Wilson was thrust into the spotlight following Rodgers' injury four snaps into the season. The former BYU star started 11 games, throwing just eight touchdowns and seven interceptions while averaging a lowly 5.8 yards per attempt.

Wilson's time with the Jets essentially ended after he was benched in midseason for Tim Boyle. Although he eventually returned to the starting lineup upon Boyle's release, the irreparable damage was done.

The Jets reportedly met with Wilson after his initial benching and agreed to part ways in the offseason. Jets general manager Joe Douglas was notably hesitant when discussing Wilson's future with the organization earlier this month.

Seems a safe bet that Wilson will be traded. And it appears they will at least get something in return.
