The New York Jets completed their second padded training camp practice on Wednesday in Florham Park.

Gang Green will host a Thursday morning practice, which will be open to ticketed fans, before staying off the field on Friday and Saturday.

The defense won the day, resulting in offensive players doing up-down exercises at the end of practice.

Veteran defensive end John Franklin-Myers was the day's lone casualty. The battle-tested edge rusher was pulled out of practice after sustaining a groin injury, but head coach Robert Saleh called it "nothing serious."

After two hours of on-field work, Saleh, quarterback Aaron Rodgers, linebacker Quincy Williams and defensive tackle Solomon Thomas all entertained question from reporters.

Notable comments from all four men are displayed below.

Robert Saleh

"Yesterday [Tuesday], I thought o-line was fantastic, physical, delivered the first blow. The entire day I thought offense dictated. I think it flipped today, so it’s going to be a back and forth battle. You guys know, I feel like we have one of the deeper defensive lines. I love our d-line."

If one particular unit has been noticeable throughout the start of training camp, it's been the defensive line. Saleh employs a deep rotation that has been busy blowing up run plays and harassing the passer.

Aaron Rodgers

"I thought we had fives practices where we improved and today we kind of took a step back a little bit. It felt a little bit tired as a whole. Mentally, made a lot of mistakes, so we have to clean so stuff up, but that’s a part of training camp."

In addition to becoming acclimated in his new surroundings, Rodgers is tasked with installing Nathaniel Hackett's offensive scheme. The unit has produced its share of highlights thus far in camp.

Solomon Thomas

"He's a huge human being who can move. He's in Year 14, still moving the way he moves. Plays with high effort, a great guy in the locker-room, great guy on the field. He's just a beast. We're lucky to have him on our team and happy to have him on our d-line."

Thomas, who enters his second season with Gang Green, spoke glowingly about free-agent addition Al Woods. The 36-year-old Woods, who was most recently with the Seattle Seahawks, has played 155 regular season games in the NFL.

Quincy Williams

"This is the best camp I've been a part of. That's just because, in our minds, we have the No. 1 defense and the No. 1 offense going against each other every single day. Then, on top of that, you're going against a soon-to-be Hall-of-Fame quarterback. Every single practice is like a game."

The veteran linebacker, who re-signed to a three-year deal with the Jets in March, enters his third season in Saleh's defense.
