What to Expect when Jets and Cowboys Clash on Sunday plus How to Watch
Both teams opened the season by winning at MetLife Stadium, but only one will be 2-0 after Sunday.
The New York Jets outlasted the Buffalo Bills, 22-16, in an overtime home win that transpired approximately 24 hours after the Dallas Cowboys completed a 40-0 shutout of the New York Giants.
Next, the Jets and Cowboys will collide in a head-to-head Week 2 meeting on Sunday, September 17 at AT&T Stadium in Arlington.
The inter-conference matchup, which will kick off at 4:25 pm ET, can be seen on CBS with Jim Nantz (play-by-play), Tony Romo (analyst) and Tracy Wolfson (sideline) on the call from Jerry's World. Jets' fans located in the New York media market can listen to the action live via WEPN 98.7 FM.
Initially, the game provided a chance for Jets' quarterback Aaron Rodgers to face his former head coach Mike McCarthy. Currently in his fourth season on the Cowboys' sideline, McCarthy and Rodgers teamed up to win Super Bowl XLV with the Green Bay Packers.
With Rodgers on the shelf after rupturing his Achilles in the Monday Night Football opener, Gang Green will trot Zach Wilson out to lead the offense in Big D. Wilson, the No. 2 overall draft pick in 2021, went 14-of-21 passing for 140 yards, one touchdown and one interception in relief of Rodgers in Week 1.
Multiple teammates have voiced their confidence in Wilson, who will face a daunting challenge from the Cowboys' defense.
"Dallas is loaded. Their D-line is as good as anybody. Their back end’s fast. They’re very sound," said Jets' head coach Robert Saleh. " [Cowboys' defensive coordinator] Dan Quinn does as good of a job as anyone in football."

Two-time All-Pro linebacker Micah Parsons and the Dallas pass rush sacked Giants' starting quarterback Daniel Jones seven times in the lid-lifter on Sunday night at MetLife. The Jets' offensive linemen will have their hands full and Wilson will likely have to operate under duress.
"He’s a game wrecker," said Saleh of Parsons. "You got to be aware of where he is at all times. He’s as dynamic of a football player as anybody in football."
On the flip side, Gang Green's vaunted defensive front, which features All-Pro Quinnen Williams, could see a Cowboys' offense that's missing three of its starters. Left guard Tyler Smith and right guard Zack Martin both carry an injury status. Smith, who did not practice on Friday because of an ankle problem, is listed as doubtful for Sunday. Limited in practice by a groin issue, Martin is questionable in terms of his Week 2 availability.
Starting receiver Brandin Cooks also appeared on the Cowboys' injury report after banging up his knee in the season opener. He was a non-participant in Friday's practice and was tagged as questionable for the game.
The Jets' pass defense limited Buffalo to 4.7 yards per attempt and forced quarterback Josh Allen into four turnovers.
The Green & White may need to activate an emergency option at kicker should veteran Greg Zuerlein be unable to take the field Sunday. The 35-year-old Zuerlein suffered a groin injury during Thursday's practice and is questionable to play. He was a DNP on Friday.
