Aaron Rodgers is apparently up for the debate, or at least up for listening to it.

Using his Instagram account (@aaronrodgers12), the future Hall-of-Fame quarterback hinted that he would like to see foils Robert F. Kennedy Jr. and Dr. Peter Hotez exchange ideas during an episode of the Joe Rogan Experience podcast.

Early on June 20, Rodgers, who was a featured JRE guest last summer, shared an Instagram "reel" that showed Hotez admitting to unhealthy eating habits during a prior appearance on Rogan's show. The shared post contained a text overlay that read "@robertfkennedyjr would mop this bum."

Kennedy, who received social media support from Rodgers when he launched his 2024 presidential campaign earlier this spring, sat down for a 3+ hour recorded conversation with Rogan on JRE Episode #1999, which was published on June 15.

During the show, Kennedy refutes a number of the claims made by Hotez over the course of the pandemic. Hotez's statements about COVID vaccine efficacy and potential side effects have proven to be inaccurate and somewhat deceiving.

Rogan suggested a debate between Kennedy and Hotez discussing their points of contention on his show with "no time limit." Rogan also promised to donate $100K to a charity of Hotez's choice should he agree to the proposal.

While Kennedy welcomes the chance for conversation, Hotez has publicly refused the invitation.

Apparently, Rodgers, who spoke in favor of vaccine choice during his memorable appearance on the podcast, would like to see Hotez attempt to defend the claim that Kennedy is disseminating misinformation.

Hotez likely resembles the "stooge" that Rodgers referred to during his JRE appearance.

“Day three of training camp they sent this stooge in and he showed these slides of what your vaccination percentage was as a team," said Rodgers last summer. "What are you compared to the rest of the league? And I started asking him question about liability. ‘Oh, I’m not a lawyer.'”

Rodgers, who claimed to have "mopped the floor" with the "stooge," continued to recount the incident.

"OK, cool, but you’re in here talking about these different things and you don’t talk about anybody’s personal health issues," said Rodgers. "There’s zero exemptions, you took out religious exemptions, you took out PEG exemptions, you took out anybody’s ability to have an opinion of I don’t want to do this.”

Maybe Rogan can get Rodgers to moderate the debate between RFK and Hotez? That could be a ratings bonanza in the making.
