Best Bet: Amon-Ra St. Brown Remains Favorite Target of Jared Goff

St. Brown is pivotal part of Lions' offense.

Detroit Lions wide receiver Amon-Ra St. Brown has wasted little time ascending from fourth-round draft pick to one of the league's best. In just three seasons, his emergence has been astounding.

Now, the next mission for the talented wideout is to establish himself as a playoff playmaker. He started off hot last week, with seven catches for 110 yards in his postseason debut against the Los Angeles Rams.

Play Michigan lead writer Drew Ellis expects St. Brown to continue on that trajectory in Sunday's Divisional Round game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

In the first meeting between Tampa Bay and Detroit back in Week 6, St. Brown posted 124 yards and a touchdown on 12 catches.

"To anyone still doubting that 'ASB' (St. Brown) is one of the top receivers in the NFL, it’s time to get over that. Coming into Sunday’s game, he has had at least 90 receiving yards in five straight games, with four of the five being over 100 yards," Ellis tells All Lions. "Despite being a focus of the defense, ASB still uses impeccable route-running and toughness to produce."

Against the Buccaneers' secondary, Ellis expects that St. Brown surpasses his projected total, in another strong showing for the USC product.

"Today, he faces a Tampa Bay team that he already lit up for 12 receptions for 124 yards and a TD back in Week 6," Ellis said. "With the Bucs looking to blitz often, Jared Goff will have to get the ball out quickly to the guys he trusts. St. Brown certainly fits that bill. I expect St. Brown to continue his dominant stretch of play, recording over 91.5 receiving yards against Tampa (-130)."
