C.J. Gardner-Johnson Addresses CBS Slight: 'Bro, Check My Resume'

CBS broadcast was quite subpar during the Lions preseason game against Panthers.
In this story:

It was nice that at some point during the CBS nationally televised broadcast of the Detroit Lions' preseason game against the Carolina Panthers, some insightful commentary took place about one of the hottest teams in the NFC.

Early on, the broadcast team spent a significant amount of time discussing the Panthers, almost ignoring the Lions.

Replays of key Lions moments were far too vast, given how much buzz has surrounded Dan Campbell's squad.

The lack of awareness of the Lions and how their training camp had evolved was quite evident. One of the broadcasters, believed to be former N.Y. Giants running back  Tiki Barber, indicated that veteran C.J. Gardner-Johnson was the odd man out of Detroit's defensive backs rotation, with rookie Brian Branch emerging.

Now, it could have been an oversight, with many discussing Tracy Walker as being a player that may have his playing time slightly reduced, due to the emergence of the ex-Crimson Tide defensive back.

Not one to shy away from responding to unusual opinions, Gardner-Johnson immediately took to social media to address the slight that aired on national television.

The versatile defensive back posted on social media, "Whoever the broadcaster talking about I’m the odd ball, bro, check my resume!! Go study before you speak on my name!!"

In just a few short months, the former Eagles defensive back has quickly become the heart and soul of Aaron Glenn's defense.

Young players have observed just how competitive Gardner-Johnson is, and opposing wideouts from the Giants and Jaguars certainly noticed just how much chirping he does during practices.
