'No Personal Fouls': Dan Campbell Not Concerned about Ceedy Duce Feud
When the Detroit Lions and San Francisco 49ers square off for the right to go to the Super Bowl on Sunday, it will have a little extra meaning for Lions defensive back Ceedy Duce.
Duce, formerly known as C.J. Gardner-Johnson, was a member of the Philadelphia Eagles team that knocked off the 49ers a year ago in the playoffs. As a result, a feud emerged between he and 49ers wide receiver Deebo Samuel during the offseason.
The two parties have exchanged social media posts, developing a sort of online disagreement that could boil over into Sunday's game. However, Lions head coach Dan Campbell isn't worried about any potential issues involving the standout defender.
"No personal fouls, and that's all you've got to say," Campbell said. "He's good. He knows how to toe the line without crossing it."
Duce acknowledged that there is an added level of intensity, as one of the only players on the Lions roster to have previously played in an NFC Championship game.

However, he admitted that once the game starts, the only element changed is how the team would celebrate, should it emerge victorious.
"Intensity level always go up, it's the NFL. Guys go in with an intensity level to win every weekend. Only thing that's changed this weekend is it's got a title game in front of it. (Expletive) don't change," Duce explained Thursday. "You've still got to play 60 minutes of football. Only thing that's changed is, if you win the game, how you celebrate at the end. I think we want to come out on the other side winning.
"This group deserves it, and I ain't talking about me. The guys that's been here, that went 0-10-1, they deserve it. The guys that got drafted here, they deserve this (expletive)."
Frank Ragnow health update
Campbell said he fully expects center Frank Ragnow to play in Sunday's game. The veteran did not miss a snap in the divisional round win over Tampa Bay, despite suffering both a sprained ankle and a sprained knee.
"You know Frank, Frank's doing well. Frank will be ready to go," Campbell said. "I mean, you're not gonna hold him out of this one. And, he gets better every day, so he'll be ready."
