Emmanuel Moseley Contract Details Revealed
The Detroit Lions are taking another chance on Emmanuel Moseley.
After the 2023 season proved to be inconsequential for the defender due to injury, the Lions and Moseley have struck up another partnership. Moseley played just two snaps for the Lions last season, suffering a torn ACL in his Week 5 debut that ended his campaign.
It was a cruel twist of fate for Moseley, who had suffered a torn ACL on his other knee a year prior while playing for the San Francisco 49ers.
He re-signed with the Lions on Tuesday, and details of the contract were officially revealed Sunday. It's a one-year deal with only the signing bonus guaranteed.
Moseley initially came to Detroit on a one-year, $6 million deal last offseason while rehabbing his injury. He underwent a second procedure on his knee that kept him sidelined through training camp.
He was activated from the Physically Unable to Perform list at the conclusion of training camp, but was inactive until Week 5. In his return from injury, he suffered the torn ACL after just two defensive snaps.
The Lions' cornerbacks struggled in 2023. Cam Sutton had difficulties staying in front of opposing team's top wideouts, while the organization was forced to shuffle through options opposite him such as Jerry Jacobs, Khalil Dorsey and Kindle VIldor.
All three players could hit free agency this offseason.
