Lions' Week 10 Rooting Guide

Who the Lions are rooting for in Week 10.

Plenty is at stake within the NFC playoff picture in Week 10 of the NFL season.

The Philadelphia Eagles are on their bye week, meaning that the Detroit Lions cannot surpass them as the NFC's No. 1 seed with a win this week.

However, the Lions can create separation from those around them with a victory on Sunday. They're a game up on the 49ers for the No. 2 seed and could see that advantage increase if Jacksonville can knock off Kyle Shanahan's bunch.

As the Lions enter the final nine games of the season, Dan Campbell and company are well aware of the ups and downs in the league on a weekly basis. Their journey toward the playoffs begins Sunday with a test against the Chargers.

Sunday's game will serve as the tone setter for Detroit's second half

“It's a lot of fun. From my rookie year, from just being 3-13-1 to now, playing each game, it means a lot," said Amon-Ra St. Brown. "Every game is important. The fans are in it, everyone's excited. It's a lot of fun to be playing some meaningful football this part of the season."

Elsewhere, Minnesota continues to loom as a threat for the NFC North division. Joshua Dobbs is slated to make his first start as a Viking after leading a comeback win last week.

The showdown between the Vikings and New Orleans carries a heavy impact. Minnesota is clinging to the final playoff seed, while New Orleans is looking to gain more separation from Atlanta.
