Pat McAfee: Mind Your Own Business About Jameson Williams

Popular sports talk host Pat McAfee weighs in on Jameson Williams lighting fireworks.
In this story:

Many supporters of the Detroit Lions were quite upset with 97.1 The Ticket host Jim Costa for expressing his concerns about wide receiver Jameson Williams lighting fireworks and posting the video on social media.

Since coming to Detroit, Williams has been under a heavy amount of scrutiny for his actions that are regularly posted on his own social media channels.

Pat McAfee certainly caught wind of the heated reactions online, as a member of his video team, Evan Fox, is a staunch supporter of the Lions.

This week, the future ESPN sports talk host weighed in on the former No. 12 overall pick catching heat for his actions on the Fourth of July.

"I don't like the fact that he's not using a torch," McAfee said. "I don't like the fact that he's not using the Extendo (lighter). He's using just a classic Bic. So his hand is certainly in there, and he's going to get some backlash after initially lighting the wick or whatever. But, I like that he's having fun enjoying his life. That being said. These things are no joke."

McAfee and his co-hosts understand why some would comment about seeing one of the star players on the team lighting off fireworks, but wished the local talk show host would have simply minded his own business.

"I appreciate Costa's messaging, but with that being said --- mind your f***ing business," McAfee commented. "It's the Fourth of July, Jim. Mind your own business, pal. Jesus, doesn't need to be so nosy."
