Seahawks Celebrate with Ski Masks After Defeating Lions

Seahawks were excited to celebrate defeating Lions.

Blue ski masks at Ford Field probably should be retired.

After C.J. Gardner-Johnson put out a call to action, fans purchased blue ski-masks in droves, ahead of the team's home opener.

In fact, Amazon was sold out of the masks a mere hours after the outspoken safety expressed his desire to see fans donning masks all over the stadium.

The Detroit Lions' defense, which has struggled to limit the Seahawks' offense for three years now, gave up 393 total yards of offense Sunday.

After the Seahawks defeated the Lions, a video surfaced online of the Seattle-based NFC West team celebrating in the locker room.

Safety Jerrick Reed's live social media feed showcased a player donning a blue ski mask, while celebrating with teammates excitedly.

“Credit to those guys over there. They came in and took that game, and they earned it and we didn’t," said Lions coach Dan Campbell after the game. "We wanted a fast start in both halves, and we didn’t do that. We did the opposite of that, and that’s not the type of game we wanted to play. Once we got into that game, we said, 'Well, that’s fine. We can play that game.' And, we didn’t finish it.”
