Three-Point Stance

One: Packers coach Matt LaFleur wouldn’t say whether Jordan Love and Co. would play. After two days of intense practices, it’s possible he’ll rest his key players for this game but play them for next week’s finale against the Seattle Seahawks.

The Patriots did not play their starters for last week’s 20-9 loss to the Houston Texans. With Mac Jones kept on the bench, Bailey Zappe was the 12-of-14 passing for 79 yards, with Malik Cunningham (3-of-4) and Trace McSorley (1-of-3) also running the show.

Two: Among coaches in NFL history with at least 50 games, LaFleur ranks fourth all-time with a .712 winning percentage. Patriots coach Bill Belichick is No. 1 among active coaches with 298 wins and is just two wins from joining Don Shula (328) and George Halas (318) as the only coachers with 300.

“You always want to go against people that you respect,” LaFleur said of Belichick. “And, obviously, he’s been able to have been the model of consistency in this league for a long time and they’ve had a lot of success. It’s no secret; He’s highly regarded as one of the greatest coaches of all time. So, why not try to steal a little piece from how they do things and just get a closer look at it?”

Three: In Week 4 of last season, the Packers needed a fourth-quarter comeback and overtime to beat the Patriots 27-24. Green Bay’s rookie receivers were key factors. Christian Watson’s 15-yard touchdown run put the Packers on the board and Romeo Doubs’ 13-yard touchdown sent the game to overtime. Doubs had two catches on the game-winning drive, which was capped by Mason Crosby’s 31-yard field goal.
