Possible Trade Destinations for Panthers WR Terrace Marshall Jr.
Thursday afternoon, Jeremy Fowler of ESPN reported that Carolina Panthers wide receiver Terrace Marshall Jr. has been granted permission to seek a trade in hopes of having a more prominent role.
In five games this season, Marshall has reeled in 16 passes for 114 yards.
If the Panthers are to move him, where could he go? Here are a few teams that come to mind.
Baltimore Ravens
The Ravens are a run-first team, but a part of that is because of the lack of options they have at receiver. Marshall wouldn't come in and fix those issues right away, but he's someone they could take a chance on without giving up a whole lot.
Kansas City Chiefs
I know the Chiefs just traded for Mecole Hardman, but I seriously doubt that means they are done attempting to add at the receiver spot. Marshall could be that big-bodied, speedy receiver the Chiefs have long been searching for. Marquez Valdes-Scantling's best football is behind him and Justyn Ross may or may not develop into something. At least Marshall has shown flashes and is on a rookie contract.
Tennessee Titans
The Titans aren't necessarily guaranteed to be in the playoff hunt down the stretch and if they're not, they may look to take a long look at their young talent, including quarterbacks Will Levis and Malik Willis. Beyond Nick Westbrook-Ikhine and an aging DeAndre Hopkins, there's not much in that Tennessee receiver room. Marshall makes a lot of sense here.
