Former Panthers RB Coach Duce Staley Meeting with Browns

A new opportunity is potentially in line for Duce Staley.
In this story:

Several Carolina Panthers assistants are garnering interest from teams around the league such as Ejiro Evero, Chris Tabor, Tem Lukabu, and Thomas Brown. This list now includes one assistant that didn't make it through one complete season with the team, former running backs coach Duce Staley.

According to Josina Anderson of CBS Sports, Staley visited with the Cleveland Browns.

Staley was fired the same day as head coach Frank Reich and quarterbacks coach Josh McCown.

The Panthers ranked 29th in rushing yards per game, averaging just 92.6 yards. Carolina spent big money on free agent running back Miles Sanders who underperformed and lost his role as the starter to Chuba Hubbard. In the ten games under Staley, Sanders totaled 302 yards and one touchdown on 97 carries.

Despite finishing 13th in the rushing yards per game (115.2), the Browns elected to move on from running backs coach Stump Mitchell.
