Even in retirement, New England Patriots legend Tom Brady is still a guiding hand for up-and-coming football players.

One of the latest players Brady has taken under his virtual wing just so happens to be one of college football's newest stars, Colorado Buffaloes quarterback Shedeur Sanders. Sanders, son of NFL legend and new Colorado coach Deion Sanders, has taken the college football world by storm in just his first three games, vaulting himself into Heisman Trophy contention. Colorado, a team that won just one game a year ago, has become the darling of the sport thanks to the Sanders.

With father and son in the spotlight, Brady invited both of them on the most recent episode of his "Let's Go!" podcast. During the show, Deion asked Brady if a college student such as Shedeur needs a Rolls-Royce luxury car, to which Brady gave a humorous response.

“I think he needs to get his a** in the film room and spend as much time in there as possible. Less time in the car and more time in the film room,” Brady said.

Deion loved Brady's answer, responding with an emphatic "Thank you, Tom!" Shedeur, on the other hand, refuted by claiming that Brady also had a similar luxury car during his playing days. Brady humorously said he did not own the car, but merely rented it.

“Hey, I had a few bucks in my pocket at that point,” Brady said.

Even before the podcast, Brady and Shedeur have quickly become fans of each other. After Colorado's season-opening win against TCU, last season's national runner-up, Brady texted the younger Sanders "don't be satisfied." Then after the Buffaloes' comeback win over Colorado State on Saturday, Shedeur told reporters he went "Brady mode." The GOAT then responded on Instagram, saying "I just want to go Shedeur mode at some point in my life."

Shedeur has skyrocketed up draft boards after his blazing hot start, and as he prepares to eventually enter the NFL, having Brady by his side is a blessing.
