Raiders' Undrafted Free Agent Adam Plant Jr. Embodies Football in Las Vegas

Las Vegas Raiders undrafted free agent linebacker Adam Plant Jr. played college at UNLV and high school at Bishop Gorman.

It's an extreme rarity for a professional football player to play in the same city at all three levels.

Las Vegas Raiders undrafted free agent linebacker Adam Plant Jr. has an opportunity to do just that.

Plant, who recently signed with the Silver and Black, played at Bishop Gorman High School in Las Vegas and was a starter for UNLV the past two seasons.

The linebacker came out of high school as the No. 41 defensive end recruit in the country after totaling 52 tackles, 16 for losses, and 10 sacks in his senior campaign.

Plant committed to TCU out of high school but transferred to UNLV after his freshman season (2019-20).

He would start at defensive end in all five of the Rebels' games in the 2020 season, leading the club in tackles for loss (seven) and finishing second in sacks (3.5).

The following year, Plant was named a preseason All-Mountain West selection by Phil Steele. He would make six starts in 11 appearances, posting 46 tackles.

Last season, Plant left it all on the field, finishing his final college campaign with 62 tackles, 13.5 for losses, eight sacks, and three forced fumbles. He ended up receiving second-team All-Mountain West honors for his efforts.

Plant told FOX5 Vegas earlier this month that it has come full circle.

"I remember my freshman year before I transferred to UNLV and I was at TCU, I came back to Vegas and I was watching Allegiant Stadium actually get built," he said. "And I took a picture of it, and my dad took a picture of it, and he was like: 'It will be great to see [you] play in this stadium some day.'"
