The Las Vegas Raiders have made their first cuts since the NFL Draft.

The club announced on Twitter on Monday that it has waived safety Jalen Elliott and offensive tackle Sebastian Gutierrez.

Elliott didn't appear in a game for Las Vegas, having been signed by the club to a reserve/future contract in January. He previously was released by the New England Patriots in August.

Before that, Elliott spent time with the Detroit Lions, where he played in eight games (one start) in the 2021 season. He recorded 12 tackles.

Elliott signed with Detroit as an undrafted free agent in May of 2020 after playing three seasons at Notre Dame.

Gutierrez played in only one game for the Raiders last season, the lone appearance of his career. He played only two snaps on special teams.

The young tackle signed a reserve/future contract in January, only days after being re-assigned to the practice squad.

Gutierrez spent most of his stint with the Raiders on the practice squad after being picked up by the club late in October.

He was released by the Patriots earlier that month, less than a week after the club signed him to its practice squad.

Gutierrez was an undrafted free agent out of Minot State. The Denver Broncos signed him before being released in August.

Gutierrez played three active seasons for Minot State before his senior campaign was canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
