Los Angeles Rams coach Sean McVay detailed how his team can make the postseason this year.

The Los Angeles Rams find themselves in the hunt for a playoff spot after a lackluster 3-6 start to the season, but there is still work to be done if they want to become a postseason team.

Head coach Sean McVay was made available to the media on Wednesday where he discussed what needs to happen in order for his team to reach the playoffs. While losses from other competitors certainly help, McVay is worried about what he can control, namely the Rams' wins and losses.

“I think really the guys understood that, hey, if you take care of your business, then you keep playing games that have importance, and you stay relevant in regard to those things you're talking about," McVay said. "I think the consistent approach has been if you take care of your business, then that conversation continues on."

The Rams are currently on the outside looking in for the 2023-24 playoff picture, but a win on Sunday paired with losses from the Seattle Seahawks and Green Bay Packers could put them squarely in the wild card mix once Week 13 is completed.

"There's still a lot of football left to be played," McVay said. "There's still a lot of things that we have to do to continue to take steps in the right direction, but all we can do is have a good day today. We know it's going to be a great challenge against a team that has done an excellent job, and they've found a way to be able to win a lot of games.

"I think the guys have earned the right to be able to build some positive momentum, and it's a ‘what have you done for me lately’ type of league, and that's what we've got to continue to do by being present.”

The "great team" referenced by McVay is none other than the Cleveland Browns who boast one of the best defensive units in the NFL. Los Angeles and Cleveland are scheduled to kick off at 1:25 p.m. PT on Sunday, and the game will be televised on FOX.
